Last week I was lucky enough to attend Robert Verdi’s Holiday Gift Guide Tweet This Tweet-Up! It’s basically like Oprah’s favorite things, but we don’t get a car. However, we did get some GREAT holiday gift ideas for those in our lives who are naughty and nice that I am going to share them with you. Here were my favorites:
For the mini style mavens in your life are these adorable handmade Hoopla Mittens ($24.99) that come in animal rivalry pairs like the birds & the bees and flies & frogs! Now your kids can beat up their own hands rather than the other kids. Brillz! hoorayhoopla.com
For the gal-on-the-go how about this amazing Monika Chiang Kite Hobo Bag ($445)? Not only is it totally cool and different than any other bag I have seen, it holds everything! I took mine out last Friday to some appointments and went straight to the gym with one bag! It literally held EVERYTHING! My new favorite bag. monikachiang.com
For your techie friend Robert suggests this POP phone ($29.90) that all the celebs are using! Come on, who hasn’t seen the picture of Lenny Kravitz on his? What a conversation piece and it will save your buddy from harmful cell phone radiation! What a good friend! Just plug it into your cell phone and chat away! Beats a Bluetooth right? nativeunion.com/us
For your stylish trend setter friend how about these on trend Studded Triple Wrap Double Wrap Bracelet from Linea Pelle ($100)? They come in so many rockin’ colors she will be amazed you beat her to it! lpcollection.com.
For your friend who is the life of the party, how about a Kodak PlayFull Waterproof Video Camera ($99.95-119.95)? OK, say she gets drunk and falls into the pool! This camera is good for 10 feet! Or the other scenario…you can video your kids swimming (which is how I will use mine). kodak.com
Or for another friend who is obsessed with white teeth and oral hygiene how about Crest 3D 2 Hour Express Whitestrips AND an Oral-B ProfessionalCare 100 Toothbrush ($54.99 & 74.99)? Hey, you have to be camera ready at a moment’s notice!
For your “Fabulous” friend (we all have one) Robert suggests this Braun Satin Hairbrush with Active Ion Technology ($75). I have tried it and it really does restore shine, tame frizz and combats flyaways! qvc.com
For your Secret Santa Robert suggests checking out the great gadgets and other finds at The Container Store. How about a wine finer ($19.99) which makes even crappy wine taste better, a multi-power LED light magnifier for those hard-to-read menus in dark restaurants ($9.99) or a chic Pochi Silicone Eyeglass case ($14.99) all in a signature Santa Sack ($1.99-3.00) containerstore.com.
I don’t know about you, but it is damn near impossible for me to buy anything for the man in my life. Shoes never fit him, neither do clothes and he is so picky! I am a dream to shop for compared to him. However, I know he is going to FLIP for this Brera Orologi Men’s 43mm Supersportivo watch ($695-750). In fact, I contemplated keeping it for myself. Should he read this post it won’t be much of a surprise, but I bet he still loves it! This Italian masterpiece is both sporty and elegant. breraorologi.com
