Well it’s almost New York Fashion Week which means, it’s time for the musical chairs game that each fashion capital plays leading up to their runway. Moschino seems to be kicking off this season’s festivities by announcing they will show their Cheap & Chic fall 2012 collection at London Fashion Week on February 18, saying Ciao! its former spot in Milan’s fashion week.
The show for Moschino’s main collection will remain in Italy, according the label’s creative director Rossella Jardini. When British Vogue asked the reason behind the border jump, Jardini said that London “will be the appropriate platform for [Cheap & Chic] to grow whilst still remembering its roots.” And judging from the eye-popping colors, lavish embellishments and girly silhouettes from the Cheap & Chic Spring ’12 show, we think the Italian label should fit in just fine with some of the funkier labels in London like Vivienne Westwood, Preen and Temperley London.
