Tory Burch to shut down Ex, Anna Sui Partners with Coach, and Olivia Palermo a new face for Rochas fragrance

Tory Trying to Shut Down Ex

Fashion industry golden girl, Tory Burch is trying to boot her ex-husband Chris Burch off the board of her company. She claims that her ex-husband’s new brand, C.Wonder, is a direct copy of her brand’s concept. The former couple divorced in 2006, but Chris Burch still remains co-chairperson of the company. Last November, Chris launched C. Wonder which offers the same monogrammed colorful style as Tory but at a cheaper price. No lawsuits have been filled yet, but they are negotiating through lawyers.

A source close to the situation told us, “She is demanding Chris Burch shut down C. Wonder. The famously calm ice queen has lost her cool. She is furious and claims he has directly copied her business plan.”

Anna Sui Partners with Coach

Coach is building on its collaborations, this time partnering with Anna Sui. After collaborating with the Tony Duquette estate to make a line of jewelry, and with Hugo Guinness to make a line of bags and small leather goods, they asked Sui to interpret the brands duffle sac which was first offered in 1972. Sui’s interpretation of the duffle sac will come in two versions, which will be reveled at her runway show on Wednesday.

Sui said, “Coach’s iconic Duffle handbag represents such a significant part of their history. It’s truly an honor to put my own spin on this seminal design. The Anna Sui version adds a boho feeling with Whipstitching, big tassels and appliquéd Art Nouveau dragonflies.”

Olivia Palermo Picked as Face of New Rochas Scent

“It” girl, Olivia Palermo is gearing up with Rochas to be the face of the next Rochas fragrance. P&G Prestige vice president said, “Palermo’s “natural sense of style and classic elegance are a perfect fit with what Rochas stands for” The Eau de Rochas trio is one of the best-selling European fragrances. Further information is being kept under wraps, but will be released after the Rochas fashion show in Paris on February 29.

Olivia said, “I am so excited to be working with Rochas. Fashion has always been such a big part of my life, and I love how Rochas exudes a woman’s femininity but is still unexpected, While Rochas has ingrained French roots, I think every woman can get the sense of joie de vivre and confidence in their style that the Parisians emanate. I always like to be a bit more fashion-forward and playful in my style choices when I visit Paris.”
