Sephora tests out new features for its website, Lomogrpahy comes to Chicago and Swarvoski makes a new lipstick

Sephora Testing New Website Features

Yesterday, Sephora began beta testing some of its new Web site features with its VIB (Very Important Beauty) Insider members. Planned new features include more targeted and personalized searches, improved images and better search tools.

A new product quick-view and improved color views will allow users to see all products in a particular color; the site will indicate what products are in stock at the customer’s nearest Sephora, and checkout will be streamlined to allow faster purchasing. Also, the site will allow users to designate multiple search terms, such as skin type, skin concern and ingredients, in addition to the existing price, brand and best-selling search functions. Each product on the site has been indexed and tagged with multiple attributes.

Another new piece will be an enhanced Beauty Insider feature that will allow users to check their point balance and rewards, as well as see records of past purchases made both in store and online. Expect to see the new site this April.

Lomography Making a Way to Chicago

Good news for photography lovers! Lomogrpahy is planning on making its way tot he windy city. Racked announced a few weeks ago that the iconic photography brand was planning on opening up its first ever store in Wicker Park. There is still no exact location on Milwaukee or opening date announced but there is some good news.

Lomography Chicago gave word that there will be a Lomography Chicago Meet Up happening in a couple of weeks. This will involve the loaning of cameras and film to people who come to the meet up. How fun!

Swarovski Lipstick Collection Coming Soon

Adding a bit of shine is an understatement when you’re putting Swarovski on your lips. The brand has created a collection of six high-pigment, bejewelled lipsticks called “Crystallize Your Lips” from Aura by Swarovski. Each of the shades will have a crystal of the same color as the lipstick on top of the casing. Right now, the price is 23 sterling pounds in the UK but who knows when this lipstick plans to make this way across the pond.
