Fashionattitude: Giving In To Pops Of Color This Spring

March 5, 2012 • Fashionattitude, Magazine

While Heatherbelle is away traveling the world, her cousin Gabriella (who has just as much attitude) has kindly offered to fill in.

Some have said, and I’m the first to admit, that my closet is fairly devoid of color. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to add some color to my mostly black wardrobe and thankfully the Spring 2012 palette is making it easier for me to stick to it. Technicolor oranges, pinks, blues and greens have not interested me since the 90’s, but here I am longing for hot pink pants and neon orange sunnies. What is to become of me? I can’t imagine I’ll leave the house color-blocked in blinding hues, but I do see myself incorporating some color into my fairly one-note wardrobe. Don’t get too excited, I don’t know how long this will last, but the following items will certainly put a little ‘spring’ (pun intended) into my bright blue step.

1. Hayden Harnett Mondrian Tote, Wild Rose/Candy Apple, $328

2. Jenni Kayne Pleated Pants, $375

3.  Emilio Pucci Gold-plated Plexiglass Cuff, $760

4. 3.1 Phillip Lim Cutaway Tuxedo Jacket, $625

5. Jimmy Choo Gail Lace-Up Suede Sandals, $995

6. Matthew Williamson Curved Square Sunglasses, $369
