Trend For Spring 2012: Tropical Prints

March 20, 2012 • Fashion Blog, Shopping, Trends

It’s not only about floral prints this spring/summer. As long as they are bright and colorful, any print will do. Why not try a vibrant tropical Hawaiian print? You don’t just have to be traveling to Maui to enjoy them. Now, I’m not talking about Mrs. Roper’s rompers or your Dad’s embarrassing Hawaiian shirt. Proenza Schouler, Stella McCartney, Ferragamo, Dries Van Noten and Blumarine all showed picturesque island prints on their Spring 2012 runways. Now the trend has trickled down to retailers like Topshop, ASOS, Zara and lines such as Thakoon Addition…so you don’t have to spend a fortune or plan a tropical escape to update and add some color to your wardrobe.
