This is something that everyone should get excited about. It was just announced yesterday that the ever fabulous Vogue contributing editor André Leon Talley will be getting a new show for the Bravo network.
The premise of the show is that Talley will usher four emerging fashion-design teams in creating, showing and selling a collection on the now-titled Fashion Stories of NYC. According to the Bravo press release, this show is build a business within the city of New York City, which would undoubtedly help renew faith in the struggling NY fashion community. “The mission to “create, show and sell” is clear for emerging designers striving to build a business in New York City, which remains the heart of the fashion industry.” And who can argue with that and not have a mentor like Talley?!
“Bravo is focused on developing and launching breakthrough programming in diverse genres and formats and teaming up with big-name talent who are experts in their field,” Bravo development VP Eli Lehrer says. “This development slate embraces the network’s pop-culture brand and allows us to explore some new and exciting worlds for our affluent and engaged audience.”
This will be Talley’s return to the small screen of reality television since leaving The CW’s America’s Next Top Model as a judge. Oh, happy day!
