Last night was a special treats for fans of the show, Fashion Star (and let’s face it, who isn’t a fan?) as both the judges and designers made a special appearance at the 5th Avenue H&M store last night. Both press and enthusiasts crowded around the red carpet at the the door of the three-level store to get a shot of, and maybe a chat with, one of the familiar faces from the addicting show.
Since the store has bought so many of the designer’s fashions that are created on the show, it seemed only fair that the retailer play host for the evening. This particular night was special because it spotlighted the winning designs from this week’s episode. Since the episode hadn’t aired yet during the party, we all gained access to an exclusive sneak peek of what the winning pieces would be!
One of the first guests to arrive was H&M buyer Nicole Christie, decked out in a hot, neon green frock. She was responsible for picking both Luciana Scarabello’s and Orly Shani’s pieces in this week’s episode, both of which were available for purchase last night! We particularly loved Luciana’s pretty pink dress, which is selling for only 39.95! The only thing better than seeing the dress up close was seeing Luciana herself who is asolutely TINY in person. And so cute!
H&M had cleverly set up sections for each of the remaining designers, complete with the pieces the retailer had bought and a life-size poster of each designer so we could be sure we were supporting our favorite.
After perusing the racks of our favorite designers, we were especially excited to be able to see Terron Schaefer, Fashion Star’s buyer for Saks and judge John Varvatos coming down the red carpet. Both men looked perfectly put together as usual, and graciously posed for pictures with fans of the show. All in all, it was a lot of fun to see the designers in their own element, and be able to relax and kick back with the buyers and judges.
Not many designers remain so now more than ever, we all need to be watching! Catch Fashion Star on Tuesday at 10/9c on NBC!
