The Art of Fashion show presented by Stylechicago.com returned for its fifth year and I was lucky enough to attend Friday, May 4 at the Museum of Broadcast Communications. This year was once again jam packed with talented Chicago-based designers, with about 30 vendors/designers setting up shop over two floors displaying their latest creations. During the shopping event, drinks were flowing, complimentary of Voli light vodkas, Peroni, Leese-Fitch & Plungerhead and hors d’oeuvres were passed around.
The fashion show showcased ten of Chicago’s top designers. Their designs were all innovative but classic with a bit of an edgy twist. Of course when you have such talent ripping the runaway you’re bound to get a great show! Designers featured this year were Nade Baer, Nora del Busto, Cettina, Eva Pazola, Lara Miller, Miriam Cecilia, Barbara Bates, Borris Powell (one of my personal favorites!), Shernett Swaby and Zamrie.
The event was amazing, fun and very laid back. It was an added bonus that I got to enjoy the Museum of Broadcast Communications, a Chicago attraction that I’ve never visited. Congratulations to Stylechicago.com for another great year of The Art of Fashion.
