Are you into the scarf-print trend? Well there is no better way to embrace it than by wearing…an actual scarf! I personally have about 20 scarves which I rotate to add color to my otherwise mostly black and basic colored wardrobe. By now we all know that the scarf is the must-have accessory and that you can never have enough! At least I can’t. Nothing updates a wardrobe more easily and cost effectively. So I was thrilled to discover Chic Tweak, an online destination for all things “scarf.” Less than a year old, Chic Tweak is quickly becoming the favored site for fashion-forward women looking to ‘tweak’ their style with one of the industry’s biggest ‘it’ items – the scarf.
Created and launched by scarf expert and designer, Bindya Lulla (yes, of Bindya New York scarves), the site now offers styles from over 15 carefully selected, trend-driven brands, with prices ranging from about $20 to $200. With travel-inspired designs from Theodora & Callum, bold prints from DVF, and feminine offerings from Bindya New York, to classic styles from Echo and more, there is literally something for everyone. There are currently 18 brands offered and more are being added all the time. In fact, I could swear they have added a few new brands since I placed an order a little over a month ago!
Last month I had to opportunity to meet Bindya when I visited her showroom to see her Fall 2012 collections. She has over 12 years experience in the accessories business and is recognized expert when it comes to scarves. In addition to launching her own successful collections (Bindya New York, Lulla Collection, On A Whim), she also does private label work for some of the biggest brands and retailers in fashion, and has just acquired an exciting licensing agreement with the Vera Company.
Bindya came up with the idea to launch a site [Chic Tweak] that not only sold her own label, but those of what would be considered her competitors. How cool is that? I have personally ordered from Chic Tweak and can attest that shipment is beautifully packaged and arrives quickly (even using limited-time only free ground shipping). If you are looking to ‘tweak’ your wardrobe, you will not find a better assortment of scarves online anywhere.
