Trend For Spring 2012: Black Shoes With White Soles

May 25, 2012 • Blahnik Tonic, Fashion Blog, Trends

This trend was actually pointed it out to me by our resident shoe addict and managing editor, Carol Calacci. To say she is obsessed with shoes is an understatement. She noticed that black shoes with white soles were cropping up and once she pointed them out to me, I was equally smitten. Black and white is a huge trend for Spring 2012 so why shouldn’t it be worn on our feet? It looks so modern and fresh. My only fear is that the white will quickly turn the color of dirt, however, I still want to try it. You can opt for menswear inspired Oxfords or sexy strappy sandals…or both. Here are 10 pairs of black shoes with white soles both Carol and I found:

1. A Detacher Chandler Linen and Wooden-Heel Oxfords, $380

2. McQ – Alexander McQueen Studded Pumps, $475

3. L.A.M.B. Minny Platform Sandals, $199.50

4. Yves Saint Laurent Riviera Embroidered Suede Wedge Sandals, $795

5. Pour La Victoire Rissa Loafers, $230

6. Nike ‘Braata Lite’ Sneaker, $65

7. Jil Sander Leather Platform Shoes, $315

8. BP. ‘Tabor’ Oxford, $69.95

9. Donald J Pliner ‘Sonia’ Sneaker, $98

10. 3.1 Phillip Lim Charlie Lace Up Oxfords, $450
