Lauren’s Look For Less: The Summer White Tee

May 30, 2012 • Fashion, Fashion Blog, Trends

So every spring I have to replace the staple white tees I discarded at the end of the previous summer. Why would I pack up white tees that look worse for wear? Yellow pit stains, dinginess and other wear and tear makes them completely discardable. When I saw this The Row Sabeen Jersey T-shirt for $250. I thought WTF? Why would anyone spend that on a plain white summer tee? I don’t care that it may be tissue soft and have adorable flowing sleeves, it’s a plain white tee! I’m all for spending money on designer goods, just the right designer goods. Personally I feel if you spend over $65 on a plain tee with no graphics, you’re insane. Especially since companies like H&M and J.Crew make 100% soft-cotton tees with some designer elements! I have found some of my favorites at both of those stores. In fact, another favorite are Hanes men’s tees. Their wife-beaters are some of my favorites and you can pick up a six-pack at Target. Just really size down. Also, if you find a style you like at a great price, stock up! I’m of the opinion you can never have too many and if you do, store them for next summer. They never go out of style. Here are 10 summer white tee picks that come in under $60:
