It’s no secret that Banana Republic is slowly emerging as the newest must-have destination for designer collaborations. With Target and H&M leading the High Street movement, Banana Republic created their own cult following with their much talked about “Mad Men”-themed capsule collection helmed by the show’s costume designer, Janie Bryant.
Now the anticipation builds again as the Gap Inc.-owned retailer gears up for a beach and casual-wear collection by designer Trina Turk. Slated to launch June 7, Turk’s summer collab collection – brimming with her bright and beach-friendly colors and prints – makes a “splash” onto Banana Republic shelves.
“I decided early on that the Palm Springs ‘cocktails by the pool’ lifestyle would be our key inspiration for the colors, styles, and prints,” Turk said. The Trina Turk for Banana Republic Collection will feature 60 pool-side pieces (apparel and jewelry!) , ranging in price from $34.50 to $150, and will launch nationwide in select BR stores and online.
The fun part is, you can preview the collection today on Gilt Groupe to get into that beach bunny mood!
