Alaska Voted Worst Dressed

According to Travel + Leisure‘s annual “Favorite Cities” survey, which clumps various cities around the world into mostly arbitrary lists, Anchorage, Alaska, is the “worst-dressed city in America.” It’s followed by Salt Lake City, Baltimore, Orlando, San Antonio, and Dallas/Fort Worth. Is any of this really a surprise?

Previously senior online fashion and beauty editor for Glamour (and, before that, national editor of, Danica Lo heads at StyleBistro, the Zimbio, Inc.–run website, starting on June 1. “I can’t wait to work with all the brilliant people on staff, open the New York office, and help build and grow the site into the premiere fashion and beauty destination online,” she said in a press release.

Rachel Roy Fights Bullying

Rachel Roy has designed two T-shirts that are being auctioned off to support “Bully,” The Weinstein Co. film playing in theaters. Bidding began Friday at $100 on, with proceeds going to Facing History and Ourselves, a nonprofit organization that provides bullying prevention training for educators and administrators.

“As a designer, I have the luxury of being able to create a product that lets people express themselves,” said Roy. “These Ts do exactly that. They get the message out loud and clear that bullying is a critical issue that needs as much attention as possible.”
