There’s nothing worse than looking in the mirror the day after Memorial Day and realizing you need to lose a few extra pounds. Nothing a little workout couldn’t fix. That’s why Gilt City Chicago and SELF Magazine were in town to help!
Last Saturday, fitness gurus and workout buddies alike took over Grant Park for the 19th Annual Workout in the Park! With a day of intense workouts (not to mention the nice weather), people were able to get fit all day. Hosted by NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” celebrity trainer Dolvett Quince, the crowd got motivational tips, help on how to improve their self-esteem and create an overall desire for healthier lives.
Attendees got the chance to stretch and strengthen their way into svelte shape. There were the traditional workout classes and a few new ones many might not have tried, including dancing to 90’s pop hits, hip-centered yoga moves and Pilates-inspired moves mixed with weights.
What a great way/day to lose weight! Can’t wait ’til next year!
