Calvin Klein’s Alexander Skarsgard Advertisement
The “True Blood” actor has been signed as Calvin Klein’s new face behind its Encounter mens cologne. Encounter is expected to be in department stores in the U.K. in August, and globally in September. Euphoria women’s fragrance face Lara Stone will also be placed in the advertisement. It’s the first time the “True Blood” actor has done an endorsement. Alexander Skarsgard stated, “Their idea for their concept was very intriguing to me- it was almost like a short film, and very film noir. It felt interest to me. I wanted to be involved with something where you tell a story- even though it’s a short story.”
Kardashian’s Launching Their Own Beauty Line
The three Kardashian sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe have signed to launch their own beauty collection at Ulta this winter. The line will be called Khroma Beauty, and is designed for multicultural consumers of all ages. The line is affordable, and is estimated to generate between $45 million to $50 million in sales.Robin Coe-Hutshing, creative director of Khroma Beauty said, “[The sisters] wanted to share their access to luxury formulas with their fans and our goal was to provide a prestige product range at very accessible prices.”
Yves Saint Laurent Film in the Works
Even four years after Yves Saint Laurent’s death there is still such a fascination behind him. He will be subject to an upcoming film directed by Jalil Lespert. The film focuses on many aspects of his life including his 50 year love affair to Pierre Berge. A spokesperson for the Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation said that Berge gave his approval for the film. Another film directed by Bertrand Bonello will focus on YSL’s launch in the Sixties.
