Outfit Of The Day For June 22, 2012. How To Wear A Dress Two Ways

June 22, 2012 • Fashion Blog, Outfit Of The Day

Sleeveless way to wear dress

I put on this Alexander Wang dress to wear to the StyleCaster Invitation To Be Fearless event we were co-hosting at Teddie Kossof Salon Spa on Wednesday. It was such a hot and humid day that I realized that I did not have to wear the “cold shoulder” sleeves on this dress, so I slipped my arms through the slit sleeves and tied them around my waist, and voilà – a new look! Now I have a sleeveless version of this dress for summer and I can wear it with the sleeves in fall, or when the air conditioning gets so cold that I need them. I didn’t think that Alexander would mind! Try it with a split sleeve dress or with a jersey dress, you may find more than one way to wear it.

The way the dress was intended to be worn

Dress: Alexander Wang Jersey Dress, no longer available. Never fear, he continues to make similar draped jersey dresses like Alexander Wang Assymetrical Draped Dress, $750 or this Alexander Wang Gathered Jersey Dress, $725.

Cuff: Susan Hanover Beaded Cuff, $77

Jewelry that is strong and not frilly works best with a highly draped dress.

Sandals: AllSaints, no longer available. See these AllSaints Leotie Heel Sandals, $150 or these Belle by Sigerson Morrison Cole Mid Heel Sandals, Now $161 have a similar (comfortable) mid heel.
