The Midsummer Night Fashion Show Benefits the Human Rights Campaign

July 17, 2012 • Chicago, Fashion Blog

Chicago’s fashion enthusiasts flocked to the Mini Cooper showroom in Lakeview last Friday night to attend The Midsummer Night Fashion Show. This year’s show served as a fundraiser for the Human Rights Campaign and the backdrop for an awesome runway show showcasing some great Chicago designers and retailers.

The reception party was one of the best I’ve been to with sweet treats supplied by Sugar Hills Bakery and frozen beverages which was the perfect contrast to the hot summer night. Though the vendors were minimal at this show, jewelry collection Avaasi set up shop and was selling some beautifully crafted pieces. Representatives from the Human Rights Campaign were present, handing out information about their cause and on that particular night were offering memberships at no charge to everyone interested in giving back.

The runway show was high energy and showed complete looks from local retailers like The Denim Lounge, Akira and custom menswear designer J.Toor. All of the looks showcased were easy and breezy and got me excited all over again about the summer fashions that are out there! It was yet another great night of fashion at the Midsummer Night Fashion Show.  They just seem to keep getting better!
