Vintage-inspired eyewear designer, Warby Parker hosted their Bocce Social this past Saturday. I popped into the event, located in Bucktown, to check it out. I wasn’t too familiar with bocce ball, but once I caught on to the the rules I realized, what’s not to love? Appetizers were being passed around and wheel barrels full of 312 Urban Wheat Ale stayed filled to the brim. The event was fun and laid back, the kind of event you’d meet up with a couple of friends and have a few beers before heading out for the night.
Reps from Warby Parker were passing around the new collection of frames, which were are not only fashion-forward, but super affordable. I was really loving the vintage, hipster styles (I may be adding a pair to my daily rotation!). There was also a Warby Parker pop-up shop in the neighboring store. I think my favorite part of the entire event was the music! The DJ was playing some of the best songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s; song’s you thought you’d forgotten about! Kudos to Warby Parker for putting on such an amazing event on a beautiful Saturday evening. Count me in for the next game of bocce ball!
