Accessory Of The Day: Sunglasses and The Styles Everyone Must Own

August 15, 2012 • Accessories, Fashion Blog, Outfit Of The Day

In lieu of showing you my “Outfit of the Day” I am dedicating this post to my sunglasses. I noticed that I have collected several pairs of sunglasses that I need for various outfits and for different circumstances. This first case in point are these Ray Bans that I keep in my car year-round. The Baush & Lomb lenses in these frames are excellent for driving. They don’t get too dark when diving under bridges and the lenses don’t change the world to psychedelic colors. I’ve had this pair for over 15 years and they still make a similar pair.

These Tortoise & Blond sunglasses make me feel rock-star cool when I wear them. The understated style is perfect with jeans and to wear to street fairs, outdoor concerts, and flea markets. Or when you just want to hide your eyes!

Everyone girl needs a pair of fancy lady sunglasses to wear with dresses or any piece of designer apparel. I love my Jimmy Choo pair because they have an interesting pink tint and classic Jackie-O styling. I can wear these for years to come.

Mine are no longer available but see these Jimmy Choo Classic Sunglasses, $325 or these Jimmy Choo Glam Plastic Sunglasses, $325

It is important to have a pair of high-coverage sunglasses to shield your entire eye area from the sun. These Nicole Miller wrap style glasses are great to wear with swimwear and coverups at pools, decks and on boats. Glasses of this size look best when you are seated, lounging… or posing! Someone else may have to get up and bring things to you when you wear these shades.

These vintage 70s sunglasses I have had since college. Be ready to get noticed when you wear a pair of frames like these! It is important to have a pair of fun vintage or vintage-inspired sunglasses in your arsenal because they can be the central focus of an entire outfit. If you wear them with vintage apparel, they will actually be less noticeable.

Last but not least, everyone needs a pair of $19.99 sunglasses, so you can bring them everywhere and not worry about losing them! Since they are $19.99 you know will never lose them, so be sure to choose your favorite style!
