Beauty Giveaway: It’s A Totally Twisted (Sista) Giveaway…For Your Hair

August 16, 2012 • Beauty, Fashion Blog, Giveaways

A few weeks ago I reviewed Urban Therapy’s Twisted Sista Leave-in Conditioner, which I am proud to report I am still using and love. So we are very happy to be giving away Summer Hair Care Packs to 3 lucky winners! If you are like me and find the summer heat makes your hair completely unruly, then this is the line for you. Urban Therapy’s Twisted Sista is a frizz control maintenance line which is suitable for all hair types. Available at Walgreens nationwide, each product costs about $4.95 each. So now you have no excuse for frizzy locks.

Here is what each winner will receive (pictured above):

• NEW! Leave-in Conditioner [Detangler] – Super lightweight detangler instantly eliminates frizz while conditioning hair at the same time. The formula calms and controls troublesome ends, creating shinier, stronger, static-free hair. (This is my must-have).

• De-Frizz Shampoo – For thirsty hair, this triple-action hydrating shampoo gently cleanses hair without drying and provides lightweight moisture while reducing breakage and frizz, leaving hair soft, silky and static-free.

• De-Frizz Conditioner – Made with hair-strengthening Panthenol to nourish and fortify, this conditioner is designed to deliver intensive conditioning where needed without leaving roots greasy. The formula contains Honey to instantly de-tangle and feed moisture back into starved hair prone to frizz.

• Curl Activator – Formulated with Lanolin and Apricot Kernel Oil, this non-greasy cream moisturizer instantly activates curls while delivering volume, bounce and definition while eliminating fly-aways.

• Different Strokes Serum – For tough tangles and overall smoothing, this serum instantly eliminates frizz, locks in moisture, and blocks humidity to transform dull, dry, frizzy hair into smooth, supple manageable hair. This finishing product contains a blend of silicones that improves hair combing and smooths and repairs split ends.

Giveaway rules: OK, so here is what you need to do to win. In a reply to this post, tell us your worst hair disaster so far this summer. Let the fur fly! Please remember to leave your email address with your post so we can contact the 3 people with the best answers (bonus points if you make us laugh out loud or can provide pictures). We will pick the 3 winners on Wednesday, August 22 at 5pm EST. You will be notified by email should you win. U.S. residents only please.

Good luck!

Gosh, I think the worst thing that’s happened to my hair this summer was when I rode in my husband’s new Jeep to dinner. It was a lovely, warm night and he thought it would be romantic to see the stars and feel the breeze so he took the top off. However, my freshly flat ironed hair didn’t agree. By the time we arrived at the restaurant I looked like an electrocuted cat. Not too cute.

Lesson learned, though: I always carry hair ties and bobby pins in my bag and never forget to ask if the top is off the Jeep! 🙂

My worst hair disaster was at camp this summer. I was a camp counselor for kids 12 and under. For one of the day’s activities, we had a fun water day where we had squirt toys and water balloons. One of the kids asked me if he could squirt me and I was wondering why he would ask especially when its just water. So I was like “of course.” After a couple of weird stares, I went to the bathroom and saw a bunch of white chunky gunk on me. Apparently the kid thought it would be funny to use liquid glue in the squirt gun. Within a couple of minutes, my hair turned rock hard and it took me a couple of hours to get it out. And I lost quite a bit of hair trying to comb it out.
