10 Bags I Am Coveting For Fall 2012

August 23, 2012 • Fashion Blog, Handbags, Trends

There is no denying, I’m a bag person. Some people like Carol, are really into shoes. Me? I’m more about bags with shoes running a close second. So every fall I scour the trends and make my wish list. If I’m lucky I have acquired a few by season’s end. So what’s in for Fall 2012 you might be asking? Pretty much everything. Seriously. For the past few years it seems that every still and fabrication makes the cut. So pick out what speaks to you or makes you swoon. Chances are, if it’s for sale it’s in. This rule applies to all but the overplayed Cambridge Satchel Bag. Please, I beg of you…pass on this one. We all bought one (yes, me too) and it’s over. You will find animal prints are huge again this season, so don’t be afraid to show your wild side. Here are 10 bags I am coveting for Fall 2012:

1. ASOS Leather Contrast Detail Clutch, $59.61

I love the pop of color and suede mixed with leather (in this case pleather, I know). The price tag isn’t bad either.

2. Alexander Wang Emile Small Haircalf Satchel, $1100

How cab you resist this fabric? If you don’t like this shape, there are others available.

3. Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Banker’s Oversized Clutch, $270

As I always say…go big or go home.

4. Anya Hindmarch Valorie Bells Embellished Glitter-finished Leather Clutch, $1435

You don’t and shouldn’t have to wait for the holidays to enjoy this spectacular clutch. Take it everywhere.

5. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel, $895

This shape is nothing new which is great if you bought it on sale last year (if you could find it), but this beautiful berry color is. Now I really want one!

6. Loeffler Randall The Rider Bag, $495

Yes, it’s true. Loeffler Randall now has bags! I really want this one. You can never have too many cross-body bags in my world.

7. Raven Kauffman MINNIE Petite Rubber Crocodile Tote, $495

Totes don’t have to be enormous, nor do they have to be leather. I have to admit I already have this bag in the hot color of the season; oxblood. So one down, 9 more to go!

8. Yosi Samra Cobra Tote, $225

Another company known for shoes (our favorite fold-up and go flats) has added bags to their arsenal. Now you have someplace worthy of tossing your spare flats and the rest of your must-have potables.

9. Michael Kors Collection Gia Saddle Bag, $895

I adore the neutral color-blocking of this bag.

10. Proenza Schouler  PS1 Medium Python Suede, $3645

I know this bag has been all the rage and I never really wanted one until I saw this! I am a sucker for suede. Add some print and I’m a goner!

So what bags are you coveting for Fall 2012?
