Andy Warhol will be available this fall at Nars cosmetic counters. Warhol has been a longtime inspiration to Nars, and the creative director thought it was about time to do a collection. The holiday collection is split into two offerings. One launched October 1 and is exclusive for Sephora. The other separate lineup for department and specialty stores will launch November 1.
The Sephora collection is an ode to Warhol’s Pop Art and includes many bright colors. The department and specialty store line intends to capture the spirit of Warhol’s Silver Factory. WWD says, It pulls inspiration from downtown, black and white with the edgy energy of the screen tests and color of the silk screens.
Lululemon Suing Calvin Klein
The brand is firing up a lawsuit again the major fashion brand Calvin Klein. According to the Chicago Tribune, Lulu filed suit on August 13 accussing Calvin Klien of copying three of Lululemon’s patent “Astro” pants. Lawsuits can always be risky, but Calvin Klein has already removed both styles of pants from their website. We are wondering if this case is going to get taken to court, or maybe Lululemon has made its point.
