Raise your hand if you head straight to the sale rack when you walk into an Anthropologie. Come on. I know I’m not alone. Every once in awhile I even check their site to see what’s new and what I will pounce on when it goes on sale. So imagine my surprise when I noticed the pair of shoes I was drooling over (#5) were designed by Kari Sigerson & Miranda Morrison, the duo behind the line Sigerson Morrison…and for considerably less than one would expect.
Now in case you did not know, the line Sigerson Morrison has not gone anywhere, but the original two designers (Kari and Miranda) left their label which they had sold to Marc Fisher Footwear (Nine West) back in 2006. It didn’t end well and last year the designers were fired and then sued by the very company that bought them (read about it here). So I was tickled pink to see they were still together and designing this capsule collection called “Pied Juste” for Anthropologie. The collection of flats, heels and wedges is very wearable. Not to mention the leathers and beautiful suedes in the season’s hottest hues are totally on trend. And for prices capping out at $298, you don’t have to wait for a sale!
