You never thought work boots could be so fashionable, would you? Timberland opened their new store on Michigan Avenue last month with all the bells and whistles. Guests enjoyed Half Acre beer, a fresh organic beverage bar, delicious appetizers from ‘The Bedford’ and live music from The Great Divide.
Shoppers got a peek of the new Fall 2012 men and women’s collection. Though one immediately thinks of those infamous camel-colored work boots, they was a lot more to offer. Classic bootcut jeans, canvas knapsacks and cozy sweaters made up the casual cool of the collection. The woody decor and recycled leather fixtures are the main components for the feel of the brick-and-mortar storefront, taking the aesthetic of the shoes and complementing each other.
Later on this Fall in honor of the guests that attended the event (and keeping in eco-friendly theme), Timberland planted a grove of trees with local charity Friends of the Parks.
