OK, so do you want to know when a $1500 dress not a $1500 dress? When you find it on sale for $360! Now that’s “attainable luxury.” I was stalking this Michael Angel dress at Shopbop all summer long. It was in their Designer Boutique which is loaded with eye-candy and I noticed it at $1500. I watched it go way down to $450, and at that point I asked customer service what size they recommended. When they finally offered an extra 20% off – I was ready with my size (only 1 was left!) so I pounced! When it arrived, it looked like a work of art, with intricate folds, a combination of silk and stretch cotton (yes!) and inside seams finished in gold lame! I love the longer length and the intense colors of this dress, which will work from summer to fall. I can wear this dress with a black blazer or black leather jacket for fall. It was one of the hottest days at New York Fashion Week when I wore it here and it needed no accessories!
