I recently had the pleasure of getting the first whiff of Tru Blooms Chicago, an exclusive fragrance launched only in Chicago by Tru Frangrance. The scent was debuted to a select few during a five course “sensory dinner” at Publican Quality Meats in Chicago’s West Loop area.
First of all, the fragrance was wonderful! With notes of rose, lily and lavender, it was light, airy and youthful. After taking us through the individual scents of the top note (rose, lily and lavender), they allowed us to sample the final scent – the anticipation was high as they informed us that we were the first group of people that have smelled the finished product!
After the unveiling of the scent, dinner was served. The menu was created by Publican Quality Meats Chef de Cuisine, Chris Kuziemko and it was nothing short of a masterpiece! His goal was to incorporate the floral scents as much as he could in every dish; serving a delectable seafood medley and cooked to perfection prime rib among other dishes.
After speaking with CEO and Owner, Monte Henige, he told me that they are already working with the city of Chicago for space for their garden next year (supposedly double the size). They are expected to work with all new flowers to create a completely new fragrance for their next batch out in 2013. They pride themselves on working with the city in creating these gardens to put unemployed and underemployed individuals back to work. The fragrance is exclusive only to Chicago and sold in limited quantities at different locations throughout city. Tru Blooms Chicago will be available for purchase October 1.
