Remember the old Nike commercials with Michael Jordan? The same goes for my outfit today: “It’s the shoes.” My look is highlighted by these Haider Ackermann shoes that I found to be my solution to a ballet flat. I am just not the ballet flat type, which is not to say that you wont see me in ballet flats. So back on point, I saw these oxfords at Barneys and Saks last summer in magenta and in a different pattern, but I thought they were too expensive. At the end of the summer I found them online and on sale at LN-CC and I am happier with the blue/gold brocade pattern. You can wear these like an oxford, or fold down the backs and wear them like a slide. Anyway, I got compliments today from people on the street, young and old, male and female about the shoes. As for my outfit, I wore all black with just a few gold details.
