Fall ’12 Trend: Vertical Stripes

October 10, 2012 • Fashion, Fashion Blog, Trends

Unlike the horizontal stripe, vertical stripes won’t make you look ginormous! That’s why I avoid them at all costs. I mean I guess if I were a toothpick I might consider stripes that run across the span of my body, but I’m not so I’m not going there. However, I have noticed a lot of more forgiving vertical stripes this season which makes me a lot happier. Vertical stripes not only make you appear slimmer, but taller! If you don’t think I am on to something, check out these 10 vertical stripe items:

1. Topshop Moto ‘Leigh’ Stripe Skinny Jeans, $80

2. Fendi Pequin Tonal Stripe Hobo Bag, $1,245

3. Marni Contrast Stripe Strech Gabardine Pants, $550

4. Creatures of the Wind Striped Woven Wool Jacket, $650

5. Vivienne Westwood Anglomania New Accident Striped Twill Skirt, $350

6. Les Chiffoniers Striped Leather Pants, $1,225

7. Alice + Olivia Randee Beaded Dress, $596

8. Marc by Marc Jacobs Paulina Sweater Dress, $298
