Along with its luxurious revamp last March, Harper’s Bazaar is bringing shopping to a new dimension with the launch of ShopBazaar.com, the magazine’s new e-commerce site. Now the fashion spreads aren’t just for looking because users can log onto the site, a sub-domain of Harperbazaar.com, and purchase the items we see in the magazine by clicking on the editorial image. All of the items on the website are selected by the editors of Harper’s Bazaar, in total feature 1000-1500 products at all times. The site is the perfect reconciliation between print and online.
The website has partnered with American Express to bring card members an especially well-rounded experience. Not only is American Express the payment method of choice on the website, but members will enjoy exclusive access to products from notable designers, gifts with select purchases, and invites to private shopping events. Now the fashion magazine experience is even more glamorous then ever before.
The site, which opened this October, incorporates the magazine’s content into the experience as well through a monthly digital iPad app, the Bazaar Book. The book features trend stories and articles that incorporate the pieces available on the site such as “Fabulous (pieces) at Every Age.” It also has exclusive content like interviews with the designers behind Anndra Neen and a street-style report. With tabs on the site to find featured pieces, shopping is made easy by eliminating the endless Google search to find just the right product.
