Fall 2012 Trend: Foulard Prints

November 2, 2012 • Fashion Blog, Trends

Granted pretty much any print is a go this Fall fashion season, but the one we are into now is the Foulard Print. What is a foulard print you may be thinking? Well in French it means ‘scarf’, but in fashion speak it means a small printed design of various colors on usually silk or a mix of silk and cotton. One usually does think of a silk tie or scarf when talking foulards, so it is no surprise they have translated into women’s silk blouses, tops and skirts for Fall 2012. If you want to try a print, but are terrified of the large abstract and floral prints you are seeing in stores, you may want to look for a smaller print and we are here to tell you…that’s OK! In fact, we adore foulard prints on the other hot trend of the season; pajama wear! A foulard print pajama top with black leather pants? Yes please! So without further ado, here are 10 foulard print items we suggest:
