All of us at Second City Style are saddened to learn that our friend and colleague, photographer Steve Starr died unexpectedly and quickly yesterday afternoon. He was 65, which is older than we thought. He would not reveal his age but with his boundless energy, we guessed he was much younger! He accompanied us to many fashion events, where we had a lot of fun racing to get shots of the main ‘players’ at events. He photographed all of our anniversary events, too. You can see numerous Steve Starr photos on our site where they will always live on, including our little head shot on Twitter. Steve was looking forward to a big event he was planning, The Face Of News, on 12-12-12.
It is still hard to believe. We are sad because we will all miss him, his energy, his generosity, and not to mention that laugh! But we have more sorrow over what he will miss. There was so much he still wanted to do and would have contributed to the world. We will sorely miss Steve Starr. Rest in peace dear friend.
