Waxed or coated denim isn’t exactly new. I bought my first pair at Zara two years ago. However, it’s hot, hot, hot for Fall 2012! If you have not tried a pair yet, now is the time. What I love most about a classic 5-pocket jean with some sheen is their total wearability. You can dress them up for a party, dress them down to look a little edgy (because some even resemble leather) or even wear them to the office (if you work in a more accepting work environment or for casual Fridays). With a better price point than real leather, waxed or coated denim breath better than faux leather (which sorry, I think feel like plastic). I still rock my black Zara coated jeans, but for Fall 2012 I noticed a wider range of colors and prints. So this year I decided I wanted to try an Oxblood color, and added the Hudson Juliette Super Skinny in Bordeaux Wax Jean shown in #9 above. I LOVE them!
