If you’re looking for holiday presents for those Chicagoans in your life, look no further than DOMitp! This local, family-run company makes gorgeous Chicago-themed ornaments depicting famous landmarks. They also have a wide selection of home, apparel, kitchen, dining and beauty items. The 22 year-old company is run by Jan and Grazyna Krynski and originally started out as a neighborhood hardware store. The couple traveled back to Poland and were inspired to follow their passion of creating hand-made glass ornaments and porcelain housewares. The company eventually expanded and changed their hardware shop into a retail store. There is a meaning behind DOMitp’s catchy and unique name, it’s Polish for house etc.
