I’ve been loving this sophisticated fragrance I got at the diptyque store opening in Chicago last week. It’s perfect for the holiday season because it’s fresh and festive. It’s a much-needed break from overly feminine perfumes with its understated scent of green fruit, wood and thick leaves. A diptyque founder was in Greece one summer and visited an orchard of wild fig trees. Overwhelmed by the heavenly scent, he brought back some leaves from the orchard. Years later, the leaves had lost none of their fragrance. Philosykos is Greek for ‘friend of the fig tree’ and this eau de parfum definitely lives up to its name!
