Yeah, yeah, yeah…we are confused too! First it was BB Creams (see my exhaustive BB Cream research here) now its CC Creams? What the? So I did a little research and to clear it up for you a CC Cream is a ‘color-correcting’ cream and a BB Cream is a ‘beauty balm.’ Still confused? A CC Cream is a color correcting cream, which means it’s a brightening primer, foundation, moisturizer, SPF and anti-aging cream. A BB cream is a non-brightening primer, foundation, moisturizer, SPF and anti-aging cream. A very slight variation and the truth of the matter is, you only need one.
So the first CC Cream I have tried is Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting CC Cream which claims to fight seven signs of aging, while also providing immediate color correction with tinted formulas that include UV protection for tone correction over time. The multiple, must-have instant and long-term benefits leave skin luminous and even-toned with the reduced appearance of discolorations, fine lines and wrinkles.
Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting CC Cream (available in three shades) includes the Olay-exclusive Essential Glucosamine Complex, containing N-acetyl glucosamine and niacinamide. This complex was shown to deliver a reduction in the appearance of facial hyperpigmentation in a clinical study published by leading dermatologist Dr. Alexa Kimball in the British Journal of Dermatology.
So what are the 7 signs of aging Total Effects fights? Fine lines and wrinkles: Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Uneven Tone: Balances and helps even out tone. Age Spots: Reduces appearance of age spots. Gentle Exfoliation: Improves surface cell turnover. Dryness: Provides nourishing moisturization. Moisture Barrier: Strengthens skin s natural defense against moisture loss. Luminosity: Recaptures youthful luminosity. Sounds pretty powerful right? Well truth is, I really like this cream. The coverage of great and the price is right!
