A new year, a new you! This of course, means looking your best and getting back on track with that gym membership. So, what’s a better excuse to buy new workout gear?
Though you don’t want to spend your whole January budget purchasing items that you are just going to sweat in and/or on, you also don’t want to wear the worse clothes you already own in your closet. Working out doesn’t mean you have to wear your ratty old T-shirts and over-sized sweatpants. And you want to be able to use the best equipment, too and weights at the gym aren’t always the best.
Here are the basics you need to work out in style this year!
Everyone needs the basic equipment: yoga mat, weights, exercise ball. If you are going to be toting these items back and forth to the gym, it helps to get them in colors you can easily recognize. My favorite are bright colors, meaning they stand out enough to find them and they might give you a boost of happiness when you don’t feel like trudging to the gym during the winter.
Now, let’s talk about clothes… the trickiest part of all. Picking the clothes you need want to wear depends on what your workout will be. Tennis? Make sure to get a breathable tennis dress. Or maybe you would rather do laps in the pool so a swimsuit with color-blocking is fashionable and slimming, too.
You don’t have to spend a lot to look stylish at the gym. Save that money for your new hot yoga classes.
