Victoria’s Secret Models Top the Forbes List

Of the 10 women named to Forbes’ list of the highest-paid models for 2012, six are or have been Victoria’s Secret Angels. This elite group of models was selected not only for their physical beauty but also for their charming personalities and their ability to sell swimwear, underwear, and lingerie to women across the globe. At the top of the list is former Angel Gisele Bündchen, who earned an estimated $45 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
Adriana Lima scored fourth place with $7.3 million.
Doutzen Kroes claimed the fifth spot with $6.9 million.
Alessandra Ambrosio took the sixth slot with $6.6 million.
Miranda Kerr garnered seventh place with $4 million.
Candice Swanepoel came in 10th with $3.1 million.

French Edition of Vanity Fair Launching this Summer

The long-awaited French edition of Vanity Fair will hit newsstands in June. The magazine will debut with the July issue and it will be priced at around 4 euros, or around $5.40. Condé Nast France is investing 15 million euros, or $20 million, by 2014 in the new venture. The editorial team will be run by veteran journalist Michel Denisot and has about 30 people. Anne Boulay, former editor in chief of the French GQ, will be editor in chief and Virginie Mouzat will be editor overseeing fashion, lifestyle and feature stories. Philippe Mathon will be the editor in chief of the French Vanity Fair Web site.

Alice & Olivia Collaborating With Pretty Polly

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet has collaborated with U.K. legwear brand Pretty Polly to launch a legwear line called Alice + Olivia by Pretty Polly. This will be the first legwear collection for the ready-to-wear brand and it will make its debut Feb. 11 at the Alice + Olivia presentation at New York Fashion Week. Bendet said the collection of tights will reflect the playful personality of her brand and will feature modern, playful prints. “I love legwear. I feel like it’s such an important component to how we style and wear our clothes. It’s sexy, girly and fun.” said Bendet. The legwear collection will include tights and semisheer styles for party dressing. There will also be a line for the “quintessential Alice + Olivia girl that is quirky, feminine and sexy.” Colors will include black, navy, plum, red, and green. Prints will include polka dots and plaid. The legwear will be sold at major department and specialty stores, Alice + Olivia boutiques,, Net-a-porter, and Shopbop.
