Tweezerman Gets A Spokeswoman
Lindsey Vonn, Olympic gold medalist, has been named Tweezerman’s first spokeswoman. Vonn is said to be the most decorated alpine skier in American history and now she can add this to her resume.
The 28-year-old athlete will work with the beauty-implements brand to create several marketing activities. She will also star in its first television commercial as well as digital campaign.
“For us, this is an initiative to promote brand awareness,” said Tweezerman chief executive officer Conny Wittke. “We have a very clear internal objective to always lead the category and take it to the next level. We didn’t want someone predictable.”
André Leon Talley Nabs A Late-Night Show
He’s graced us with his presence on shows like America’s Next Top Model, and films like Valentino: The Last Emperor as well as The September Issue, now André Leon Talley is in the works to have his own late-night television show. Vogue’s contributing editor has made a deal with the production company Electus.
Talley will also be the executive producer of the show, working closely with Electus. Although the show is still in its early stages of development it is sure to be geared towards a cable network.
Joe Zee Becomes An Author
In keeping with the theme of magazine staff, Joe Zee, creative director of Elle, has a book deal with St. Martin’s Press. Although Zee has contributed to an “anthology about the magazine” this book is the first one under his name. Although we don’t know the name or how much money Zee is receiving, we do know that this book will be a style guide.
This guide will feature both a personal history on Zee as well as style help information and tips. A division of St. Martin’s Press, Thomas Dunne Books, has not set a date yet for release.
