Will our obsession with all thing fashion ever end? I hope not. Bravo has their ‘Dukes of Melrose’ about vintage fashion and Smithsonian Channel is premiering their own vintage fashion show March 7, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT. L.A. FROCK STARS is a six episode original series that follows vintage fashion maven Doris Raymond and her Hollywood store The Way We Wore®.

Raymond is known for her tenacity in finding hidden gems and for her encyclopedic knowledge of designer fashion. She is an expert in the history of vintage clothing and has been buying and selling it for over thirty years. Raymond’s store, The Way We Wore® has therefore become a destination for Hollywood’s stars and their high-profile stylists. Her boutique sells women’s fashions from the 1900’s to the ‘80’s, ranging from high profile designers to the world’s most iconic fashion figures such as Versace, Chanel, Halston, Dior and more. Raymond has also supplied wardrobe for numerous film and television productions, including Titanic, Boardwalk Empire, Casino and W.E.

Sounds like heaven right? The show L.A. FROCK STARS offers an inside look at the quest for the perfect dress. Raymond and her colorful staff, Sarah, Shelly Lyn, Jascmeen and Kyle, assist an endless stream of clients, all with unique needs, from Dita von Teese and Debi Mazar to Linda Ramone and a host of others. The episodes cover finding vintage items worthy of the red carpet for the 2012 Award Season, traveling to Texas in search of the Alamo (just kidding, searching for a vintage treasure trove), attending  a vintage auction and well, you’ll just have to check it out for yourself.

We here at Second City Style can’t wait to watch this, because as you know, we love all things vintage. Especially designer vintage.
