Last week, we were thrilled to be invited to be a part of the Jane Iredale PureGloss Fresh Delights mixology event, a beauty-inspired cocktail party that combined two of our favorite things (beauty & booze)! The party was in honor of the new collection of PureGloss lip glosses, 11 new creamy shades in a super luxurious new formula, which provide an ultra-glossy finish without the use of sticky, petroleum-based products. From nudes to berries to plums, and everything in between, the collection now offers a total of 18 colorful shades that impart a natural-looking, sheer tint of color for a fresh, pretty look. Take a closer look below!
And since the “recipe” of the new PureGloss line includes such nourishing bouquet of ingredients like Moringa Butter, Lotus Flower Wax and Orange Peel Wax, Blackberry and Pomegranate Extracts and antioxidants Vitamins C and E., Jane Iredale thought it best to create refreshing cocktails inspired by three of the new PureGloss shades: Beach Plum, Red Currant and Snow Berry. Held in the lovely Living Room of Haven’s Kitchen, us lucky guests watched as mixologists literally whipped up the confections in front of our eyes. Each of the three was unique to the shade it embodied, either sweet or spicy, smoky or fizzy, heavy or light. Needless to say we enjoyed them all, so much so we want to share them with you in case you feel like channeling a little Tom Cruise in Cocktail:
“Beach Plum Fizz”
Greenhook Ginsmith Beach Plum, Lemon and Seltzer
Bourbon, Antica Formula and Red Currants
Prosecco, St. Germain and Asian Pear
Featuring a contoured doe foot applicator for precise application, the variety of PureGloss shades can really be mixed, matched and layered with pencils or lipstick for a multitude of looks. PureGloss will be available beginning in spring 2013 for $24 at shop.janeiredale.com and at select skin care specialists and beauty apothecaries worldwide. The party itself was a wonderful time and definitely succeeded in getting everyone excited for the burst of colors we’ll be seeing this spring!
