President and creative director of the stylish international handbag brand Nancy Gonzalez, Santiago Gonzalez stopped by Neiman Marcus on Wednesday, March 20th. The head of the famed accessories brand focuses on the editorial direction all around the world.
The brand started when Nancy Gonzalez, as a single mother to two young boys, began creating luxury handbags. Using only the most luxurious fabrics found in Columbia, the brand was founded in 1998. Nancy and her son, Santiago, started the brand, bringing together fine art and design. Santiago has created, established and defined the “voice” for the Nancy Gonzalez brand both visually and conceptually. From campaigns to merchandising the collection, he oversees the creative teams he has chosen to collaborate with from concept to reality. “I take what Nancy has created and I figure out a way to package that vision in the best and cohesive way possible,” Santiago said of the current collection.
