As Fall 2013 preview season continues, we’ve gotten to see some very interesting lines in both the apparel and accessories arens. One of our favorites so far has been the mosaic of colors and patterns on display at Echo Design. Boasting a staggering array of scarves, handbags, gloves, hat, swimwear and accessories, it was easy to see why Echo is called New York’s best kept fashion secret.
The preview was set up in wide open showroom space just down the street from Bryant Park and the New York Public Library. Scarves were wrapped and tied around the walls like window treatments, and endless tables showcased all the next big things that we’ll be seeing come fall, such as perforated leather gloves, denim colored accessories, and my fave — super soft hats made from milk proteins that include a special place to tuck in your headphones!
After perusing the exciting fall collection, a whole separate room was brimming with vibrant spring and resort wear pieces. Racks of filmy, tissue-thin beach cover ups showed of bold and graphic prints while wide-brimmed sun hats displayed themselves proudly along the wall. Every you looked, you were reminded of beach vacations, tropical locales and how fun it is to dress up for the warm weather.
Walking through the Echo Design showroom we were able to both get excited for all the accessories of the coming season, as well as be reminded that we need to get on planning that summer vacation! But above all, we were able to truly experience why this massive organization, that began as a small scarf company founded by newlyweds in 1923, is still going strong 90 years later in producing bold gorgeous colors and vibrant patterns for every season.
