Bravo darling and cult following extraordinaire Andy Cohen has been picked to host this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards, set to take place at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on June 3. Known best for his “Real Housewives” stand offs and Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live”, as well as his stand out personal style, promises to shake up the typically tight-lipped fashion crowd with his quirky brand of comedy.
CFDA president Diane von Furstenburg praised the 44-year-old, saying in a statement: “Andy Cohen is a friend of the fashion industry and we are thrilled to have him host the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards.” It definitely didn’t hurt Cohen’s chances that he includes fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker in his closest circle, as well as former hosts Anderson Cooper and Seth Meyers. And speaking of Meyers, can we expect Cohen to pull an manicured eyebrow-raising stunt like Meyers did last year when he donned Marc Jacobs‘ (in)famous Comme des Garcons Met Gala dress? It seems we’ll just have to wait and see….
