Spring 2013 Shoe Trend: Brogues, Baby!

April 22, 2013 • Blahnik Tonic, Fashion Blog, Trends

Brogues or Oxfords are actually not a new trend. Not by a long shot. They made an appearance last year as a spring shoe trend, but thankfully they are back again for Spring ’13. I know you may be thinking, “aren’t they meant for men?” They were, but think about it. It’s too late in the season to wear boots, but too early to wear sandals. Whose feet are ready for summer anyway? If you are looking for a flat option with a little more coverage than a sandal or basic flat, the brogue just could be the answer. Pair them with everything…skirts, dresses, suits, shorts and even jeans. Just don’t wear socks for heaven’s sake. They are meant to be worn barefoot. Once you see how versatile they really are, you will wonder why you didn’t go brogue sooner! Check out the amazing brogues available for Spring ’13:
