The Thing I Am Loving Today: L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette

April 22, 2013 • Beauty, Fashion Blog

Nothing signals spring more than a new, fresh floral scent! Besides wearing lighter clothes, I think a light floral scent is the thing I look forward to the most come spring. So I was more than happy to try L’Occitane’s Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette! More precisely there is an entire collection celebrating the peony flower…hand cream, body lotion, shower gel, you name it. However, right now I’m just talking about the Eau de Parfum!

Yes, the fragrance is a floral, but it also has an intense, green floral structure. With a rich, multi-faceted combination of delicate peony from the South of France and sensuous magnolia, this floral scent creates a fragrant bouquet with a musky, woody finish. It’s like no other floral fragrance I have worn before and whenever I wear it, I can be assured someone will stop me and ask me what I am wearing!

The story behind Pivoine Flora goes like this: there is a Mediterranean legend of a beautiful nymph named Paeonia who was so courted by the gods that a jealous goddess transformed her into a flower with a thousand petals: a peony. Since then this symbol of beauty and femininity brightens every spring with its dazzling show of colors and scents.

So, if you are seeking a floral scent with green roots or just a scent that makes people ask you what you are wearing, give this one a try! It’s my new daytime favorite! FYI.
