Sergio Rossi Opens in Las Vegas
Sergio Rossi opened its new store at The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas. The brand aims for the 9,623-square-foot store to captivate the luxury footwear segment in Vegas. Sergio Rossi is also unveiling its Bal Harbour store’s revamp on June 1. The new store in Las Vegas was developed with London-based interior design studio Studioilse. Shoes are displayed on multilevel polished brass cubes, and the floor is a chic marble herringbone-pattern. Velvet chaise lounges, sofas, and curtains give the store an opulent feeling.
Victoria’s Secret Fires Back at Model
Victoria’s Secret is not happy about comments made by Kylie Bisutti, one of its former models. She described her brief stint at VS as “being paid to strip down and pose provocatively to titillate men” and feeling “like a piece of meat.” Bisutti is promoting her upcoming book “I’m No Angel: From Victoria’s Secret Model to Role Model.” She eventually quit Victoria’s Secret to pursue a deeper relationship with God.
She beat 10,000 models in the Victoria’s Secret Search competition in 2009, and won a one-time walk down the runway in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The book explains her decision to quit her modeling career because she didn’t want to promote anything that sold sex.
Prada Launches L’Eau Fragrance
L’Eau is a lighter version of Candy, and a new scent in its own right. Prada Candy L’Eau, tapped Roman Coppola and Wes Anderson to co-write and direct a film starring Léa Seydoux, who also starred in the first Prada Candy film and campaign.
“We see the fragrance as being worn by the same 25- to 35-year-old woman with two different attitudes. But at the end of the day, she has the same energy, sense of joy and she’s always looking for pleasure. She’s captivating and mischievous,” explained Ana Trias, VP of prestige designer fragrances for Puig,
Prada Candy L’Eau has Sicilian mandarin and lemon top notes, while sweet peas are at the heart of the Oriental scented perfume. Base notes include caramel, white musk, and benzoin. The fragrance launches May 1 at Neiman Marcus and will be sold in three sizes ranging in price from $50 to $88.
