Would You…Could You…Wear a Fanny Pack?

May 1, 2013 • Fashion Blog, Handbags, Trends

Would you? I mean could you really wear a fanny pack? Did you sport one in the late 80’s or early 90’s? Or were you like me and thought there was no way in hell you were going to look like a tacky tourist? Well guess what? They are back. Scary right? But in 2013 they prefer to be called “belt bags.” At first I recoiled in horror, but then I learned Donna Karan always wears one because she prefers to be “hand-free.” I have to admit, there is something appealing about that. Hey, if Donna Karan can rock one, can I? So I took a look around and found some belt-bags that are not too offensive. I’d like to share them with you. Then let us know what you think.

I don’t think I can do it! I know Rachel Zoe is all about the fanny pack, BUT I still can’t. No matter how chic she makes it look … I still think American tourist.

  2. Second City Style says:

I don’t think I can do it either. I mean how great would it be to have your iPhone and wallet at your hip at all times? But, yes, I would feel like an ugly American tourist.
