Terry Richardson Tapped for Valentino Campaign

Valentino’s fall accessories campaign brings edginess to the brand for sure. The ads, shot in Rome, show photographer Terry Richardson’s tattooed forearms. He playfully tugs at the Rockstud Rouge and Rockstud Noir studded heels and handbags.

This is the first time Valentino designers Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have worked with Richardson. Chiuri noted that the images conveyed “the sensual yet elegant nature of our accessories, described as objects of desire.” The campaign kicks off internationally today in fashion magazines.

Hunter Bell Wins ‘Fashion Star’

Friday night, Hunter Bell was the winner of “Fashion Star” on NBC. The South Carolina native said about the contest “it was the hardest job I’ve ever done.” Bell has been designing for eight years and her line is called Hunter Dixon by Hunter Bell. Saks Fifth Avenue and Express both sent out emails featuring Bell ‘s winning designs. She received $3 million in orders for the capsule collections she created for Saks, Macy’s, and Express. The clothes became available to purchase at these retailers’ websites and select stores after the TV show ended.

Harry Winston Announces New CEO

Nayla Hayek has been appointed CEO of jeweler Harry Winston Inc. effective immediately, according to its parent company The Swatch Group Ltd. Hayek is also chairwoman of The Swatch Group, the world’s largest watchmaker. Harry Winston brand and all its jewelry and watches has a value of up to $1 billion.
