Donna Karen’s Fall Campaign an Artist Affair
Donn’s a Karen Fall Campaign is quite steamy and sensua. The images, shot by Mikael Jansson, captures models Catherine McNeil and Andres Velencoso in a very sexy position in an artists environment. After staging a show of her late husband Stephan Weiss’ work recently, Karan became more acutely aware of her connection to art than ever before. Karen said , “I never realized the similarity between how we thought.” “Stephen did my fragrance bottles. He was my partner in business. He was everything. When I put on the show, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he did with clay and I do it with fabric.’”
The Moschino Cheap and Chic Resort 2014
This collection is a mix of a Bohemian and seventies inspired looks. The silhouettes are more constructed adding an urban touch to the collection. The styles are relaxed and include long-sleeve tunics, cotton lace maxi dresses, all over prints of micro daises as well as dresses with decorated panels. Pretty colors like yellows, greens and pastel pinks are all over this collection. They are perfect colors for a resort collection!
Remembering Ottavio Missoni’s Colorful Life
Rarely could a funeral be more colorful than Ottavio Missoni’s! Missoni’s funeral took place at Gallarate’s Basilica and its facing square on Monday. The funeral had his family, friends, several members of the fashion industry, employees and the city’s well-wishers present wearing multihued zigzagged, twirly and patterned scarves, lightweight knits and shirts in memory of Missoni. Even after such tragic news to the fashion industry, he will always be remembered as a man of style. “Fashion passes but style remains. We are here to take lessons in style from a man of style,” said Della Vite, the minister.
